Hi, my name is Christian & I loooove tea 🍵
I’m a digital creative, owner of Lovepixel Agency and Growth Consultant for Conscious Brands.
My love for tea started as a curiosity about the benefits of tea and quickly grew into a passion for the serenity and connection it brings.
Each cup offers a peaceful break from our fast-paced lives and connects us to traditions across the globe. With my blog “Best Tea Leaves”, I’ve found a way to blend my love for storytelling and design with my appreciation for tea.
I’m excited to share this journey, hoping to inspire others to find a moment of calm and a sense of connection in their daily lives.
My Story starts here...
Growing up with Tea
Tea has been a part of my life since the beginning.
Every morning my parents would drink their Jasmin Tea religiously.
Growing up in a small German village, I was helping my family with our mushroom business and it taught me a lot about hard work and discipline. But even as I chased what others defined as success, I realized something vital was missing: happiness. My quest for joy took me from business studies to internships at Google, where I met incredibly talented people. Yet, despite their success, many lacked genuine happiness, a realization that deeply resonated with me.
Ironically enough I went to my first tea ceremony in London which was facilitated by someone who opted out of the tech world to start his own tea shop.
Discovering Tea as a Digital Nomad
Driven by this insight, I embarked on a 10,000-mile road trip across the US with my best friend, seeking answers to what makes people truly happy. The journey revealed a simple truth: happiness often lies in spending time with loved ones, engaging in hobbies, and embracing spirituality.
This discovery led me to Bali as a digital nomad, where I lived with a shaman, embraced nature, and delved into meditation. Although fulfilling, this lifestyle posed practical challenges, prompting me to leverage my passion for design into a freelance web design career.
In Bali was also where I studied tea with someone who studied under a Taiwanese tea master.
Tea with Indian shepherds
My adventures didn’t stop in Bali. I traveled to Nepal and India, seeking deeper spiritual insights. On a mountain top, living a simple life among shepherds, drinking the typical Indian chai – black tea with milk – I had an epiphany: Love is the meaning of life. This realization became my mantra, guiding me to share this message through my work and personal life.
This message and mission perfectly intertwines with tea, as tea bring peace and serenity to all beings.
Starting a family and agency
I met my wife at a spiritual retreat in the US which was a pivotal moment for me. Our union was a testament to the power of love and faith. Starting Lovepixel Agency was a leap of faith, born out of necessity and a desire to provide for my growing family.
And amidst everything, there was tea – holding the steady balance of serenity and focus to build an empire and family of your own.
And within it all, there was tea
Throughout my travels, tea was always with me, a simple pleasure that became a profound passion. Tea, to me, represents serenity, connection, and a bridge between cultures.
As a tea expert and enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share my love for tea on my blog Best Tea Leaves, intertwining my journey with the rich history and culture of tea. It’s more than a beverage; it’s a way to share love and connect with the world around us.
